I'm an international applicant from an underrepresented country who just got deferred to RD. I know that the chances are very slim of getting in RD, but is it possible that H defers otherwise strong international candidates because they want to see the RD competition from the country/region before they make a call? I know H often sees no applicants from my country in a given year and that more or less all applicants from my region (SEE) were taken in during RD for the Class of 2018.

My stats should be in their ballpark with a 2100 SAT with 760 in CR, 570 in M and 770 in W. 44 IB predicted. Two national-level ECs, a couple others-- all with a deep commitment-- a good essays and recs.
