Deferred/Interview Now?

Is it normal to get an alumni interview after being deferred?

I did not get an alumni interview before 12/15 and I assumed it was because of my on campus interview over the summer. NOW I have received an offer for an alumni interview.

This may be a stretch, but I thought of something. I applied on paper for the EA cycle. In addition, my check was lost. I am wondering if, perhaps, my application simply was not processed in time for the EA deadline (because of the scanning necessary and the lost check), and I was simply deferred because of these issues. I am wondering if they have finally gotten proccess to my application, and just now offered the interview?

Normal? It’s serendipity. Last March, I was assigned a last minute, up to the deadline SCEA applicant who had not been interviewed in Dec.

They processed your app: it’s that your local ASC couldn’t get a volunteer to you.

Good luck

Will my interviewer know that I was deferred?

^I don’t think so, but I don’t think it matters either. I mean, if they don’t know before the interview, fine, you can just tell them during the interview. No big deal.
