<p>Applied EDI, received my deferral until regular admission. I am dissapointed but still hopeful. Since there are a few days until the deadline, can I ask to be considered EDII or is that not an option?</p>
<p>It's my believe that only a VERY few, if any, defer into ED2. If so, it would have been stated in your letter. Write an impressive letter to the Editor of the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, LA Times, Washington Post, etc. and hope it gets published. Then make a copy and send it to the Admissions office to bolster your chances.</p>
<p>It's not an option. Deferral automatically means you will not be decided upon until regular admission (April). :(</p>
<p>Thanks for the reply. I didn't think it was an option, but doesn't hurt to ask. I'll be sending Vassar some more information to make my case for admission.</p>
