Deferred. Is it harder for out of state?

I was deferred and i was sort of shocked. Im not an outstanding student, but i was definitely within their middle 50 for everything. Im also a very well rounded and involved student, some even say overly evolved.

However, i am from southern california. is it harder to get into uvm being out of state, and do i have a shot at regular decision?

My daughter was deferred as well and was also shocked. She has a 3.5 GPA from a very academically demanding high school in NH, was well within their middle 50 for everything, involved, great recommendations, very good essay, etc. She is also wondering what her chances are now for regular admission.
Corinneh…wishing you good luck come April!!!

I just got in and i’m from CT. I have a 3.667 GPA (weighted). I’ve had some honors classes in hs. I’ve done TONS of community service, was super involved in HS, and had two very strong leadership positions. I wrote a strong essay and filled every optional section. I’m going to be an animal science major. If you were deffered I would suggest calling the school and ask for any suggestions on improving your application. Good Luck!!
