Hey,

I was deferred from UCF which I'm actaully not upset about I feel like I should of probably been rejected to be honest, the reason it says is because of my low test scores ( I would copy and paste the quote but my ucf is down)

Does that mean everything else was fine and they just want higher test scores?

Here are my stats (don't laugh)

Unweighted GPA: 2.8
Weighted: 3.1
Community service: 756 hours
SAT reading: 500
Math: 430
Writing: 500
Key club officer, school newspaper editor, soccer, track.

I'm taking my ACT on dec 11th, what score do you think I need to get?

Thank you!

oh sorry summer 2011

Can you copy/paste the exact status you have on myUCF?

The ideal scores for fall 2011 applicants is above 500s on all three SAT scores. As for ACT, 23+ should be sufficient. Admissions counselors are also looking to see trends in your transcripts. Consider changing your course lineup for the second semester this year or send in two to three more recommendation letters including one from your guidance counselor.

Also- the summer program isn’t that bad. Though it isn’t covered by FL Pre-paid (if your instate) it is a great way to get acclimated with the college life and get ahead of the fall students credit wise with out having a large number of students there.

Hope this helps and let us know what happens next!

Aim for at least a 22 to be safe. I got accepted with a 22 on the ACT but I had a weighted GPA of a 3.8. My roommate, however, got accepted with a 20 on the ACT after being deferred. Good luck!

Good luck … Prolley going to be deferred to :/

This is what myucf say

"A decision has been deferred to allow you the opportunity to earn competitive test results by retaking the SAT or ACT. "

that means everything else is alright? and I just need to improve my scores?
