I have a question. Has anyone been deferred from early decision for an Ivy League and then accepted in the spring? If so, what actions or steps did you take? I was deferred from Cornell University. I have wanted to go there since I was in the third grade. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I am in the same, exact boat as you. It’s an absolutely horrifying situation, isn’t it? I am wondering, like you, if there is any hope to be had at all. I have heard, though, for two seperate sources of girls who have gotten deferred after applying ED to Cornell, but were accepted during regular decision. Please let me know if you hear anything regarding your question. Thank you!

Maybe put up a post on the Cornell forum? Probably good & specific advice there.

Good luck

Don’t despair, but never set all your hopes on one school–it is too chancy, especially at an Ivy
