Deferred or refused from Cornell?

I have received this message regarding my application status to Cornell university, Cornell has not yet made a decision on your early decision application. You will receive more information within the next few days. Does it mean that they haven’t yet checked my application or that I’m deferred, please ?

Cornell has not yet made a decision on your early decision application.

This is not a deferral. If it were, it would say that you’ll be considered along with the regular decision applicants. I think you should call the number they gave.
