How many are there of you?
I got deferred for my SAT scores.
C/r: 500
verbal: 480
Math: 460
I'm Out of state (ny) and we don't graduate till the 25th of june so getting offered summer admission is pretty much not really an option because I'd have to leave the second after I graduate or miss my graduation.
I assume my GPA was fine (somewhere between 3.5 and 3.75)
I have extra circ., AP Classes, Honor classes, and I duel enroll to my local comm college (and if you know anything about NY education, it's pretty high up there), I'm also going to help out at the elementary school this semester.

And I really don't wanna go to valencia b/c I'm not really familar with Orlando and I wanna live on campus because apartments just seem like such a pain.

There are alotttttttt of people who have gotten deferred this year…I applied on October 7th…and I STILLLL havent found out an admission decision from them. I have around the same GPA as you do but low ACT scores…I never took SAT. Were pretty much under the same boat…Only that i haven’t been deferred yet which is pretty weird because i know of a lot of people with low scores and they have gotten deferred a week after they applied…its been almost 4 months since i applied and no answer…I don’t want to be pessimistic but if you got deferred for summer term and you wont be able to make it in time for when classes start then I highly doubt that they will consider you for Fall because Fall is FAR more competitive. Also…I know that you said that you don’t want to go to Valencia BUT if UCF is your first choice then you should really consider it. As far as I know its a good school and obviously a lotttt less costly than UCF or any other state University. Ive looked into Valencia in case i dont get accepted to UCF and there are appartments that are literally right next to ucf’s campus AND is a guarantee gateway to UCF. Goodluck!

I didn’t get deferred for summer, I got deferred for fall.
I was just saying is that if they offer me summer admission then I’m not sure if I will be able to make it down there in time for it to start. I haven’t been offered it yet though.

3.4 weighted GPA from an in-state community college
Sent in my latest grades (Fall 2010) in which I received a 4.0…
still have not heard back, it’s been 2 weeks.

I never took the act (I don’t think I would have done well)

I think I might just reapply for summer term after my new sat scores come in. Maybe I’ll have good luck there since they’re probably trying to fill it

Deferred for GPA 3.2/3.4 won’t go up much this semester, so I’m looking at Valencia. Determined to get into UCF, computer science.

Can someone tell me about the apartments that are near UCF and is that the East Campus of Valencia and please tell me Valencia’s CS labs are nearby? I have friends that want to room with me and they’re all looking at dorms but they got into UCF, I didn’t. All of us are CS majors, and they want to have help because I’m the best programmer.

I want a meal plan, can’t cook, but I can probably live with a microwave. Anybody know of a good apartment, either 4/4 or 4/2 that we can consider? One near food would be good. I was hoping not to need a car.

Haven’t given up on UCF yet, but I have a heavy last semester (9 courses) and I’ve already got senioritis so getting my backups ready. Oh yeah, and to the OP, summer term for new freshmen starts in July or something, it’s summer C, so don’t worry about not getting out of HS in time. They told me they don’t start freshmen until then. Also when I asked about doing a reactivation form thing after I was deferred they said it wasn’t necessary, they’d put me in summer if I got admitted anyway, since I don’t exactly add much to their freshmen stats.

Only problem with Bright Futures is they don’t cover summer, but I’d take any offer I get.

I called UCF and asked them once we send in whatever is needed (transcripts or SAT scores) how soon can we expect an answer. They said we are constanly under review and the next thing we will recieve is our decision. We wont get deffered twice so make it count if you need to take the SAT/ACT again!

I was deferred for summer, 2.95 GPA and 1930 SAT. My latest semester grades was a 4.04, so I’m hoping that will get me in.

Anyways, don’t think that if you don’t here back soon, that means you won’t get in. They are going to hold a lot of the deferrals until they find out how many of those already accepted were also accepted into UF in the middle of February.

They will most likely wait until after UF’s decision day. After that most applicants will decide between UF, UM, FSU, UCF etc. and they will get an idea of how many people will turn down their offer of admission. I wouldn’t write anything just yet, for that reason only.

The only thing I am concerned about is if they have even denied people yet. So far I haven’t heard of one person being denied and I hope they aren’t just deffering people until a later date. If that is the case we may just be a sinking ship. Hopefully not though…
