% deferred that get accepted

Anybody know the % of deferred that have been accepted in the past??

apparently about 14-15%

I have a question to add to this: is deferral similar to waitlisting, where applicants are actually listed and selected by their place on the list? Or are the deferred people simply placed into a regular pile and blindly reevaluated in the regular process?

The latter.

I actually think they're more than just blindly put into the same regular pile-- they know that it was originally your first choice (and if you send supplements, letters to confirm this) so they should have more reason to accept you. Therefore the 14-15% is higher than the RD rate of like, 10%.
