Deferred to LMU 2014

If you were deferred to LMU I'm just curious what your stats are..
My stats:
3.4 GPA
Business Major
23 ACT
No SAT
Strong extra curriculars: 4 years crew captain, church volunteer/mission work, club president, club founder, community service all 4 years
3 strong letters of recommendation; one from pastor of my church
No AP's

I was deferred. The letter was sent out December 11 but I received it today. I applied EA October 30. I expected to be deferred due to my GPA. I called admissions and they are just asking me to submit my fall semester grades to strengthen my application. I currently am taking a heavy course load and maintaining a 4.0 so I'm pretty confident.

Has anyone been rejected either too?

Ya, I got deferred too. My stats…
4.3 GPA
Marketing Major
26 ACT 10 on Writing
1790 SAT
Tons of 4 year extra-curriculars including a Multi-Media Arts & Design Academy, 200+ hour media Internship at Berkshire Hathaway, Editor of school newspaper, Varsity Volleyball, extensive singing accomplishments, Professional theater, etc.
2 letters of recommendation
Nothing on my application was really religiously oriented, but I’ve gone to Catholic church my entire life and I talked about social justice and the enrichment of the “whole person.”
I thought my essays reflected a really good fit and I made it really clear that LMU was my number 1 choice. I talked about my experience in the field of marketing and advertising, and all the things I really love about LMU outside of the classroom. I even quoted their own school newspaper in my supplemental essay. (I chose the “media” supplement) I thought it was one of my better college essays. Super bummed, but hopefully I’ll be admitted in Spring! Good luck to you too

@gabe805 I’m surprised you got deferred
