Keep checking throughout the day today guys especially around 3-4 ish just in case they do release them today, and make sure to post on here if you hear anything
Indeed there have been no broken promises from admissions. That said the silence and uncertainty from Michigan has given us reason for pause. We toured many schools last year and both from an academic and a social perspective, my daughter came away certain that Michigan was a clear front runner. That said, our interactions with other large schools post application have been moreā¦Iāll use predictable for lack of a better word. We had clear understandings of how and when to expect admissions decisions, scholarship awards and the terms upon which the award could be renewed were clearly laid out, and we were provided information about campus events events even before a decision was released. There seems to be a professional respect for the enormous decision the student is about to make. I worry slightly that Michiganās admission process is just a hint of the inefficiency to come. What will course registration and housing assignment be like? Can Michigan adequately support all of their qualified students through graduate school and career placement? My daughter is still Ann Arbor dreaming, and I hope that she gets the acceptance that she, and so many of you deserve. That said, I am concerned that the admissions experience is just a hint of things to come. Were it not for the shared information on College Confidential, we would have no idea what to expect next.
@michiganea2021 ross preffered decision is coming today as per declaation in twitter.
Where did you see that? Like which twitter account? @USUG21
Relocated, this should not even be a part of the decision. They give you info. You want more or sooner, but that is on you. The first EA came by 12/31. The rest will come by May 1. Anything more or earlier is gravy. You reading this thread is what creates any other expectation.
Once you are one of the 6500 paying students, your āserviceā from them can be judged". As one of 35000 EA applicants, you should expect only what they have promised.
My S does not experience issues in Getting classes, housing, etc. but then we pay tuition, room and board, soā¦
Oh, thatās exciting! I hope some LSA decisions come out todayā¦
Amen
Lets keep our head high and wait for postive decision.
I have only one thing to say: Hook 'em, dweebs
Hey guys! Just so you donāt get your hopes up for today, I just heard from someone that talked to my regional admissions director that they will start releasing decisions late next week. Looks like it probably wonāt be today!
@RelocatedYankee Exactly how has Admissions been silent and uncertain? If you havenāt done so already, you might want to visit Office of Undergraduate Admissions web page and read āFAQs for Deferred Applicantsā or āHow Will I be Notified of My Admissions Decision?ā. Policies and procedures are quite clearly outlined there.
I applied to summer, could I do summer and winter instead of summer and fall? Or does summer and fall just make the most sense
anyone think maybe today? or not really
Agree with the others Relocatedā¦the students who have applied and been deferred will hear from UofM in the April time frame at the latest and nothing more has been promised. Every year some acceptances dribble out between January and April, but that is because after EA Michigan basically practices rolling admissions as they watch acceptances and balance programs. A family member just turned down their seat in LSA so that should make someone happy.
I heard from a 3rd hand source that a girl got in from a deferral. I canāt verify but Iām assured itās true.
today? @UofMorMSU
@USUG21 it merely says that they will come out on a friday, not necessarily today
where does it say that @bwalts61
@michiganea2021 No, just at some point this week.
