I was deferred for Aerospace Engineering. I know this because my application status reads, "
Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time." My question is what are my new chances for getting accepted?
Status: Deferred
GPA: 4.12
MCA: 4300 (no bonuses)
ACT math: 33
Other California Schools: UC Irvine, UC Davis, and UCLA
Is there any leeway when going into the general admission from early decision?
I hate to be the rain on the parade, but I would guess, based on previous years, that a 4300 is going to be low for AE. I don’t know much about the others except that UCLA is pretty competitive too. UCD and UCI I’d guess are closer to matches, but I’m not certain. If you don’t have a safety and by that I mean a school you KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that you’ll get in AND you’ll be able to afford, it’s not too late. Good luck.
