Deferred...What now? Hopeless?

I visited numerous ivy leagues and other top universities throughout my college search, which extended through three years of high school, and found true happiness with Brown. I love the atmosphere and the curriculum and the diversty- there is more but I won’t go on. Anyway, I applied ED this year and discovered that I had been deferred yesterday. I have good grades and am part of an interesting academy dedicated to the field that I want to study. I won’t post my scores but they’re definitely within the ranges. What I want to know is what I should do to reaffirm my interest and secure that I am given a real shot. I know many people will contact the admissions office, politely of course, and ask what their weaknesses were. I was wondering if any of you had thoughts on what I can do from here…should I email? Call? Should my guidance counselor do it? Extra recommendations? Etc? I would really appreciate any advice you have!
