Well, today I found out I was deferred. While I had a feeling it was coming, I'm still pretty ****ed. Especially since a lot of my friends got in. My stats were: 3.53 GT GPA and 2040 SAT (700 M, 680 CR, 660 W) and good EC's, good essay. I really wanna go to Tech, so I'm not sure what I need to do to ensure my acceptance when RD comes around. After this semester ends, I'll be up to a 3.68 GT GPA. Should I take the SAT again? I've taken in 3 times, but maybe this time I can get 2100+? Idk what to do, I'm stressing out. UGH.

Grades look like the main issue. Work hard this fall.

Yeah all A’s will get me up to a 3.68. That looks likely right now. What are my chances then?

With a 3.68 and 2040, I wouldn’t say you are guaranteed admission but you are definitely a strong match + candidate for acceptance.

Call the Admissions Rep. for your area ( or one you have been working with) to see what feedback you get. Reinforce GT is your number one choice and try to determine what key ingredient they are still looking for. Depending upon your intended major, you might consider calling the admissions person in the particular school as well. Good luck and remember to market yourself to any and all decision makers.
