if i was deferred ed do i realistically still have a chance at washu?

Of course you do. They could have denied you, and didn't. That means you are qualified and meet their requirements.

If it is your dream school, then tell them. Send them a letter that if admitted you will attend (if you mean it). Visit again. Complete your RD app early. If you know what you want to study, contact that Dean. You might even get a new recommendation.

Go for it.

well i send this essay (kinda) explaining exactly why i wanted to attend the school. it was really sincere and had stuff in there about fitting with members of my own race at washu and such. i also applied for 3 scholarships (which i dont know will matter any).

im just really nervous

JL,

I assume you have applied elsewhre also. Don't be so nervous. I believe strongly that if you do not get in somewhere, then there is a reason. It is not the right place for you. You will find it. Push hard to get in, but find another school or two you like. Visit them again also. It will work out fine. In the end, it matters little where you went, but what you did while you were there. Relax. This is exciting. If you are good enough to get deferred at one of the most selective schools in the country, then you are extremely talented and have great future. Enjoy it.
