deferred :(

<p>I've been anxiously waiting for a decision from UMBC for a while now, and check my mailbox every day. I opened up this morning to see a small letter from them, and to my horror, opened up to a paper that reads that the Early Action selection is very competative, and that my application was deferred. </p>

<p>I'm only applying to schools in Maryland, and UMBC and UMCP are my top picks. I'm so crushed right now. </p>

<p>One of the admissions counselors writes in his blog, "Our Early Action review period is competitive, more competitive than Regular Decision, so do not be discourage if your application is deferred to Regular Decision."</p>

<p>But I still can't believe that my stats and grades weren't good enough for them. Anyone else get this sort of news? Ahhhh I don't know what to do with my life. If I got deferred from UMBC, I'll probably not get into CP :((</p>

<p>Same here :confused: it’s ok. I’m pretty upset about it…but at least they will reconsider our application in the next round.</p>

<p>There’s still hope! You were deferred, not rejected, so just keep hoping! I was deferred too (not from the same college though) and it really makes me feel terrible, but I just keep reminding myself that there’s still hope. :)</p>
