What are some of the best things to do after getting deferred from EA to improve your chances? This is my top school, thanks.

Try to demonstrate an upward trend in the classes you are enrolled in now. Move forward on some applications to other schools you would not mind attending. Include a couple of safeties. Do not contact the admissions office of your dream school. That will weed you out as pushy and entitled. Start figuring out what you would need to transfer to the dream school after freshman year if you do not get in this spring. Good luck.

Can I retake the ACT again next month and send it in?

There is no January ACT, and the February ACT will be too late.

There is a January SAT

Yeah. You were asking if you could retake the ACT, so I just said there isn’t one available next month.

Are you sure February is too late for that?

^ It depends on the schools. It may be too late for the schools with RD deadline in January.

i disagree with the original response. contact admissions to let them know they’re still your #1 and write a deferral letter (this could act as letting them know theyre #1) stating what you’ve been doing lately if there are any notable accomplishments and if you were struggling but doing better with a class, let them know. they need new info on you or you wont stand out among RD’s. you should find info online about writing a deferral letter. good luck!
