Well, as the title may suggest, I was deferred. I am curious what my next steps should be and what I can do to end up with an acceptance. Is there any sliver of a chance that I am accepted during the regular decision round? I have already e-mailed my admissions counselor letting her know of my continued interest in the school. For a frame of reference, I have a 3.5 GPA and a 1390 (CR+M) at a very rigorous high school. My EC’s are fine but not superb and my essays and recommendations I think were pretty great.

Just keep it up, how were your essays? Just show good interest and try to do something over the break they’ll notice, I got accepted today and our SAT isn’t too far apart I’m sure you’ll be fine

I, and my college counselor, thought both my essays were really well done and pretty original. I decided to send in my ACT score (30) today as well just to give them something else to look at. I’ll definitely remain in contact with the school and let them know that I am very interested. I guess I’m just happy it wasn’t a rejection!

Yeah that’s good, admissions are really strange these days so don’t worry about it.

Good luck

Also deferred. SAT: 2150, ACT: 33, GPA (UW): 3.36, (W): 4.12

One of the most, if not the most, competitive years they’ve had at Babson, from what I’ve heard. Like you, my essay and reccs were good, EC’s okay, etc. As long as you keep in contact with the school or give them something new to know you really want it, you should do fine.

Best of luck.

Just a follow up, I was accepted today.

Waitlisted… second best applicant from my school in 6 years, people with half my scores have been accepted. Good luck to all others.
