do you still have a chance of getting in if you get defered?
i heard that since Cornell defer most of its ED applicants, your chances are practically zero if you get deferred . . .

if you can't get in ED, I don't think you'll have a sterling chance RD

I saw something online a few months ago (not sure if it was a reliable source or not) that your chances of getting in are somewhere around 15-20% or so if you get deferred. I'll try to look for the URL, but IMHO, I think the real percentage is much lower.

If they want you they'll take you right away. Being deffered just makes you get your hopes up. Id rather be flat out rejected than be deffered.

that's what everyone says cadabra, but we all know being deferred is better (for me at least, but how can I know, I'm an 09er

I got deferred ED but I still got in. Don't lose hope!

maybe we should wait for our decisions before we worry about this now....hahha

a couple of kids got deferred from my school and then got GTs or acceptances later so i guess we shouldnt completely loose hope(like tun said)

my friend got defered and then accepted (HumEC)

i hate deferals...
