So I applied in early November, and was deferred in late January, which is pretty disheartening.
Anyway, I was just wondering what my chances of acceptance likely are; I love this school so very much, and would adore being given the chance to attend.
I attended a great high school in my freshman year, in-state, and took a few honors classes, but an abusive situation at home harmed my grades(I didn't fail any classes, but I feel as if I could have done much better), and I eventually had to move to Detroit, where I had a better home life, but a mediocre school life.
Anyway, my concern here is that my classes aren't at all advanced -- my school does not offer honors or AP courses, so I only have biology and English 1 honors.
I also don't have two years of foreign language. I have one year of Latin, but circumstances at my present school made a second year impossible, and I haven't been able to take a new language. I tried for Arabic, but the teacher quit so they dropped the class, and it was too late at that point. (Our school doesn't allow online courses for credit, or else I would have taken Latin all through school.)
I've mentioned all of these circumstances in my essays, and I hope that they can be overlooked. (I intend on taking a foreign language through college, anyway, and I've even emailed the admissions office, to make sure I still stood a chance there, and it looks pretty good.)

My school doesn't weight grades, but I have a 3.54 GPA overall. (I've had straight a's since sophomore year.)
I scored a 24 on the ACT and an 1120/1850 on the SAT.
I'm a member of FIRST Robotics(our team captain), National Honor Society, Student Council (I'm the secretary), band, and JROTC. (I'm the S-2 on our staff.)

If anyone could just let me know what my chances of acceptance are, I'd appreciate it so much.
Please be completely honest with me, though. I'd rather not get my hopes up, if acceptance isn't likely.

Thank you, and sorry to have written so much! :)
