<p>Hi everyone, I know there are a lot of similar posts to this one, but I really REALLY need some advice. I don't want to go anywhere besides Cornell and I really think they need to know that AND LET ME IN!! HAHA...what do you suggest I do/don't do! PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! Here is what I have thought of so far:
-Send in another teacher rec or two
-Have a state senator/family friend write me a rec
-Send in letter begging for mercy
-Send an essay or two(maybe about my LEARNING DISABILITY FOR SYMPATHY?)
-WHAT ELSE??</p>

<p>I have written extra essays so I'm planning to send them in and improve my grades in the 2nd quarter........
oh yea also I'm gonna ask a 3rd teacher to send in a rec..</p>

<p>i was actually talking about this with my friend...to me, the best thing to do in addition to everythin u mentioned above is to PHYSICALLY go to the school...i would PHYSICALLY request an interview with an admissions officer and meet with some members of departments that ur interested in...show them how smart u r (if u r...hopefully :)) and show them how much u wanna go...and u definitely have a much better chance</p>
<p>HOW MANY ESSAYS?! I could write one for every reason why I love Cornell...that would be about one essay per week...TOO MUCH?!?!?!</p>
<p>WHY DO U THINK U WERE DEFERRED?? I don't understand why I was...I think it might be b/c of low test scores but why wouldn't they just reject me then...I can't change them NOW!!!!!!!!</p>
<p>i heard that instead of writing essays or more letters from other ppl to read
it's better to write them a letter saying that cornell is still
your first choice, you will want to go to cornell in the regular pool
even if it means the wait. send all extra stuff that you weren't able
to for ED...such as copies of certificates, volunteer work u did
if you are talented in art or music, send them slides or a CD
make sure that they know you are unique and would have cornell
benefit from your interesting background</p>
<p>YES!!! thats the beauty of it...first of all...its not a "so-called interview" because its not at all guaranteed and cornell would NEVER tell anybody to do this because otherwise everybody would be doin it....but i think that if u went to the school and showed initiative and managed to get an adcom ro a professor or whoever to hear u out and like u...then theyll admire u for ur determination and risk-taking and u will definitely boost ur chances...</p>
<p>its up to u...depends on what kind of person u r...u rly have to be strong to be up for this...but u can do it...</p>

the people at cornell are highly aware of that too (probably)</p>
<p>ALSO, IF I GO THERE EVERY WEEKEND FROM NOW TILL APRIL, and CREEP AROUND CAMPUS LOOKING FOR PROFS/ADMISSIONS PEOPLE...WOULD THIS BE CONSIDERED STALKING?</p>

they will probably give u a reply through e-mail or such
i think that is enough
going there all the time will make your chances lower</p>
<p>I doubt they're going to be like, nickyjane is so hot, of course we must admit her now. I would send an actual letter, it takes longer and shows you just didn't click a little button to send it.</p>
<p>since it is the professors from each college(division)
that review the applications, why don't you e-mail the
specific college. when i had additions to my ED app,
i sent an e-mail to the human ecology department
if you have certificates, art slides, CDs, then
maybe you should mail them altogether</p>
