deferrees unite!

for all you deferred... what should you be doing another this time? should we submit extra stuff? if so.. wut extra stuff? a letter? another rec? a resume? extra essay?
and i was also wondering if you were allowed to change the essay that you submitted during early action...

another questions: i wonder if during regular action, if they favor a deferree over a regular action applicant. do they even see that we did early action?

they'll see you did early action, but i don't know how much of a factor it will play in admissions decisions (i doubt it would be anything of significance)... as for changing the essays, call the admissions office and ask--they'll have the answer.

I've been deferred too, and i'll probably send some supplementary materials as they come (i.e. if i win a big award or related, i'll notify them)

hope that helps

Matt's blog says he'll discuss what to do if you're deferred on his blog next week.

This feels like club volleyball tryouts...I was never one of the ones who got an "offer" right away, I always had to wait until the Tuesday afterward when the teams had to be finalized, and whoever didn't take their offer for a team gave me their spot.

I never thought I'd have to feel that again.
