<p>Does anybody know if you can defer admission to Cal to go on a special educational program abroad for a year? I know people have done it before for Cal, but I don't have any contact information for them.</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure you can defer for a year to do whatever you need to do. You can also attend and go on leave for a certain amount of time but I'm not certain about the limitations on that. You are best off calling the office of the college you're attending and inquiring about their policy (Letters and Science if you are undeclared).</p>
