Deffered Students

My letter said to forward new grades when they become available... if a decision was not made by the end of my fall semester... is that the same thing?

bro- no its not the same thing...
theres one specifically saying that you were deferred (the one you got)
and theres another asking for your 7th semester grades

so that means i pretty much have no shot

no, a lot of people got the same letter

and i actually think that its the better letter...but no one knows for sure though

decisions are still being released..there's still hope

Which is the better letter? And will people be admitted in mid April or just rejections

just my (biased) opinion, but i think the one saying that you were clearly deferred is better.

and yea, many people will be admitted/waitlisted/rejected in april

thanks but i still think i have no shot... 3.3 gpa overall - 3.5 junior and 1st semester of senior year... 1930 sat single sitting (2050 overall)... really competitive small private highschool/ivie feeder... good essays/extracurric/rec... low gpa is my problem

hey bro, my stats is really similar to yours...really think there's no shot for us? :/

I have no idea... but I see all these other people with rediculous gpa's.. if you have a 3.7 at my school you are looking ivy

any new news?

I was deffered (LSA). The defferal letter did not request 7th semester grades. I sent in fall grades anyway and was accepted a month ago.

mgomaize- what were your fall grades?

and wat was your gpa and act when you applied?

4.0 gpa, 4.0 fall term, 28 ACT

i had a 3.7 GPA when i applied, but had around 3.65 GPA for fall term, you guys think i should send them in?

this wait is really ****ing me off!!!

I got in last week after being deferred from Art and Design. I had the letter requesting grades and I sent those in 4.1 weighted GPA for fall then it dipped the second quarter but it wasn’t bad.

Now I’m waiting on LSA to make a decision. I’m kind of worried because I haven’t heard anything from them yet.

psp-fifa-fan, yes you should. I had a 3.9 when I applied and sent in fall grades and only had a 3.75 that term. You should still send it in. (Though I got the letter asking for grades).

When should I expect to receive a final decision?

The latest you will receive a final decision of admit, deny, or waitlist will be mid-April. If you are not admitted at that time, but are given the opportunity to be on an extended waitlist, a decision may be made as late as mid-summer after we have received all of the enrollment deposits from admitted students.

i just calculated my GPA again. my michigan UWGPA when i applied was around 3.75 but my 7th semester GPA is: WGPA:3.8, UWGPA:3.6, michigan UWGPA: 3.54 and my rank dropped also from top 14% to top 15.3%. you guys think i should still send in my grades?
p.s: my defferal letter did not ask for 7th semester grades
