recently i checked my admission status and it said "A decision has been deferred pending receipt of your semester grades from high school"...
So they pretty much they want my semester grades. The first quarter i recieved almost all A's and had an overall gpa of 4.2, but an incident happened at the beginning of the second quarter that brought my grades down from A's to some B's..
Will they still admit me if my grades for the overall semester arent perfect A's? I want to make my semester grades as good as possible obviously to increase my chances but the highest i was able to get them were mid to high B's. Im taking a few honors classes and 2 APs

Bring up any grades as much as you can and just do your best. Did you apply for summer term? If not I would switch to summer term too. Have more recommendation letters sent and call them and ask what you can do. Show interest, it helps a lot. Best of luck.

It seems like your test scores are good enough, so I actually wouldn’t switch terms if you have already applied for fall. B’s are fine, in my opinion, but don’t take my word for it and just get straight B’s. I think you’ll be fine after you send in your semester grades… so don’t screw it up.

should i really switch to summer? i wasnt sure if i would be able to… i def wouldnt mind being accepted to the summer term. The grades are all pretty much done for and alls thats left are the exams, Im just nervous they wont be good enough. My cum gpa is pretty low and my test scores are alright… im also retaking it this saturday so hopefully i can get an even better score. What do i call about though?

510 Reading
490 Math
540 Writing
my SAT scores arent great, i liked the ACT better.
but if i go from having almost straight A’s first quarter to almost straight B’s second quarter i feel like theyre going to see that as really bad… like im not trying, but i really am trying really hard to bring up the grades that fell and the highest i could get them were B’s.
do i have a good chance at fall? or should i apply for summer to be safe.

At my kids’ high schools, transcripts didn’t show quarter grades. They only showed final semester grades, in which case … depending on how high your b’s were and how high your a’s were … and what you got on semester exams would determine your final semester grade, and that was all UCF would see.

my gpa from last year? well my cum is 3.21… not so great i know, im so nervous. my grades from quarter 1 werent wonderful, in my two hardest classes i went from a 93 to an 80 though and a 90 to an 85
i dont know how much that will lower my gpa
