If an applicant has a sibling who is a current UF undergrad and a parent who is a current grad student, would he/she be considered a legacy applicant? If so, how helpful is it?

I know some on this forum disagree with me but I don't believe legacy is a major factor at UF anymore unless your parents can donate (or potentially, i.e doctors, business owners, etc.) a large amount of money to the school. There just too many applicants to UF that have legacy for UF to consider it a big deal. If they accepted all legacies then they would probably have more than half of the acceptances already.

i heard you have a better chance if your sibling goes there

I agree with ASMAJ. I personally know a boy in my grade who applied ED this year and got rejected, even though his ACT and GPA were pretty good [30; 3.5 UW]. Both of his parents and his sister all graduated from UF.
