<p>Princeton is trying to attract diversity of all kinds. I've never seen the kind of SAT data that wow requests. However, the black students of all kinds -- international and noninternational -- whom I've met who got into Ivies had SAT scores far higher than Wow's. The exception were students who had genuine hardship such as a first generation college student with an "A" average from from a weak inner city school who had managed to get two unusual academic national achievements. </p>
<p>A black male with a "B" average from a public school, an SAT score far below the lower 25th percentile for Ivies, an immigrant doctor father making $200,000+ and no extraordinary ECs needs to view all Ivies as distant reaches. Apply if you wish, but make sure you have realistic safety and match schools.</p>
