What defines a CCC transfer compared to an out-of-state transfer?
For example, if someone moves to California after having had done some college credits in another state. Then they take CA community college classes, and apply to a UC a year or two later.
Is it a certain number of CCC credits needed to be considered a CCC transfer?
Asking because they prioritize CCC transfer students over students with an out-of-state academic past.
If you complete 30 semester/45 quarter units at one or more CCCs by end of spring before admission, and your last school attended is a CCC, you qualify as a CCC applicant.
Plus, you can’t have so many upper division courses from any 4-year that it puts you over the UC unit maximums, which vary from 80-90 semester units. Don’t worry about excessive lower division courses. It’s just upper division that can possibly hurt you.
