Can I connect through Ethernet connection or is it only through FSU wireless connection?

BOTH. Every dorm room on campus has ethernet, with a plug for each bed. A few dorms have wireless as an additional option. Wireless is not as reliable, and in taking an online class or quiz or test, one should always use a wired connection.

^ Even that isn’t very reliable… I was using the ethernet while taking a quiz yesterday, and it went out so I had to switch to wireless, so the quiz was invalidated because I temporarily lost connection. >_<

actually, the only dorm building with wireless is landis.

its funny pretty much the entire campus has wireless except the dorms, its because they dont have routers in place. its pretty sad actually.

ethernet however is really good, pretty reliable and fast.

^ That’s not true. Wildwood and DeGraff also have wireless and are listed as having it on the website.

That was one of the main reasons I based my hall choice on.

Confirming that Landis, Wildwood and Degraff have wireless. Some dorms near Landis Green can also pick up a weak signal.
