Does the degree of the college from which one graduates mention the name of one's original college (from which you transferred)? Do employers have any way of knowing that you didn't spend all 4 years at the college from which you got your degree?

No, the degree is the same (in format) for every graduate. Employers can only know if they are provided with a transcript. Or if they just ask you, but I don't see why it would make a difference to them.

It's where you end up, not necessarily where you start, that matters.

:)

I used to work at a pre-employment screening agency and people that did transfer put both schools on their resume. Otherwise we would find out and that person would more than likely not get the job because they lied. We would call the school and say something like, "This is
from <my company's="" name="" here="">. I am calling to verify the dates and degree of <applicant's name="" here="">."</applicant's></my>

I see. So does that mean that someone who did 2 years at a state u and 2 at Harvard is at a disadvantage compared to someone who did 4 at harvard?

^ no, i highly doubt any employer would see that as a disadvantage, that will not matter.. they will just see that you have a harvard degree.

thanks a lot
