What do students think of Dartmouth's degree requirements. Seems like
there are a lot. Western thought, non western thought, tradition of thought,
comparative study.... Sounds like it could be a real pain, especially for a math/science person.

How many 'core' classes are there, in total?

No core classes, just distrib. requirements

I just have to say, the "distribs" aren't really distribs at all. Unless you're definitly set on something like engineering or pre-med (where there are specific science courses that you must take) you'll easily fulfill the requirements. generally by the end of your first year you've filled about 80% of them, without even paying attention. there are ways of getting around taking certain courses if you're afraid of them.

Yes there are, particularly the QDS requirement.
