Odds of attending UD UD was kind of low on my list, but when I got $22,000 in grants and $11,000 in loans, im reconsidering

D accepted, honors program. 4.36 weighted, 2050 SAT. She got the big yellow envelope in the mail. She was accepted to her choice of major, and received good scholarship/ merit money though less than some of the giant amounts noted above. Likely wasn’t enough to change her mind- was accepted EA to UVA, which is in-state so less costly. We did love Delaware though. She has one more to come then will have to make her final decision.
Question- is the merit money good all four years assuming students don’t do poorly? Why can’t I find anything about this?

My daughter received her OOS acceptance in the mail today as a bio major. She had applied as a nursing major. We were well aware that nursing is one of the two most difficult majors for admission at U. Del.

(She had already decided to study nursing at a private college with a much lower net price, and where she wouldn’t need any unsubsidized loans and wouldn’t need to work during the school year).

For the benefit of people looking at these stats next year, she had an ACT of 27 (28 if you combined the two sittings), is in the top 1% of her public hs class, took 5 AP classes, and plays 3 varsity sports. She was offered some aid from U. Del, but several private colleges offered much more aid.

I was accepted as a Chemistry major, but I applied for Chemical Engineering. I’m OOS, and I received my decision today in the mail. I received $12,900 in institutional grants/scholarships. For reference, ACT:29 GPA: 4.0 UW (but definitely is dropping this year as shown in mid-year report) Top 10%
I am a maybe because this is my dream school and the aid made it more affordable, but definitely not cheap enough to commit right now.
