I know thanks @dogsrthebest IM trying not to think about it I don’t think I can make it and then if nothing happens you might read about me in the papers

Do you think they will still be posting anything about merit for those that didn’t hear anything yet?

Doesnt say anywhere specifically merit aid it only says “Grants and Scholarships - 12k/yr”, so im assuming thats merit aid included, i’m still trying to understand the process

@DoubleDel chin up this is our week I feel it come on positive thoughts

I know how hard this is…keeping fingers crossed for those of you who haven’t heard.

I echo sentiment of @dogsrthebest…you have another set of crossed fingers and positive thoughts on this end as well.

thanks guys

Has anyone been rejected so far?

If you have a chance to review this thread at least one person has specifically reported being rejected and at least several have reported hearing that others have received rejections notices. So it does appear that UD has been sending out some rejection notices. My perspective would be that if you have not as yet received a rejection notice that you are at the very least still in the running for acceptance (obviously still no guarantee). As Yogi Berra said “It’s not over until it is over”. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

@meisha and @doubledel hang in there. IMHO this is the week they will HAVE to let you know. standard acceptances have gone out mid march. I doubt they would want to let you know later than this. @meisha, with my son not being accepted directly into the Lerner school of business, I contacted admissions asking what the requirements were for transfer from a university studies into the business school. Within 24 hours they responded with good solid information as to what’s required. I think it’s certainly doable for my son, (if he chooses) We have a lot of decisions to make over the next few weeks. I know your D was not interested in University Studies but maybe if you got the info to see what the transfer into her major info is it may make it a more positive outcome. Good luck, I’m pulling for you both! :)

Actually UD’s Registrar’s website (Internal Transfer section) has a listing of the requirements students must meet in order to transfer into “Restricted Majors”. It is broken down by College and majors. However you need to keep in mind that the requirements listed are the minimal requirements and just because a student may meet them they are not guaranteed acceptance into the major. There is still going to be internal competition for the available slots (if any). Hope this info is helpful.
The website is:<a href=“Changing Majors - Student Resources - Registrar's Office”>http://www.udel.edu/registrar/students/restmajorsinfo.html

hi everyone, this is my first post to this thread. What a nice group, you’re all very supportive
and encouraging given this stressful time of the year. My S is waiting to hear
and it’s been the longest 8 weeks … then, to receive a letter in January saying decision early March.
According to their files his papers were complete 11/6. In reading the posts, I’m concerned that he applied to
the business school 1st, Information systems 2nd and, it might be the reason he doesn’t get accepted :(

well its great at least you got a letter telling you early march @maggie 3 I don’t think any of us here got they letter we wait day by day hour by hour its crazy but we are keeping the faith so welcome and good luck

Thank you miesha5. keep the faith and good luck too

Just read our FAAN section and very disappointed that it only reflected student loan info. D not in honors, accepted as Ed. Major, OOS from New England region. Has anyone been provided $ besides loans which was not honors program? Any from New England region? Ed. Major? UD was top choice but we were not provided any incentive to attend UD. Avg. $10k in merit from other accepted schools. Not happy. Don’t know if there is a process to request explanation.

@titans76 my D received 5000 in merit and is not in honors but she received nothing from UConn which is the only school so far where she did not receive some merit so I thought that was interesting. UD is definitely in the running.

I got $7500 a year in merit, not in honors, from Virginia.

@cakeisgreat &@mspindel - thanks for feedback.

is anybody else still waiting?

yes
