<p>I'm a synchronized skater and plan to continue in college. Miami is 1st in the country and Delaware is 3rd. What are my chances of getting in, getting into an Honors Program and getting merit aid?</p>

<p>I know I look like a loser compared to everyone here...</p>
<p>The good news is that you can get into both these programs based upon your stats.</p>
<p>Miami's average GPA weighted is 4.0 with SAT I totals of 1900</p>
<p>Delaware's average GPA unweighted is 3.5 with SAT I totals of 1815.</p>
<p>Neither of these schools is well-known for giving merit aid, though. In fact, Univ of Miami is ranked as the #2 school (#1 among national universities) whose students end up with the greatest debt load (that is, they owe the most money on loans) at the end of their college experience.</p>
<p>My guess is you can get into the honors program at Delaware, but not at Miami.</p>

<p>P.S. My friend, Sam Singer, is a figure skating judge and will be one of the judges at the U.S. Championship next January in Spokane. I doubt you know him, however, since the Sychro Championships are held separately (they will be in Colorado Springs in February).</p>
<p>LOL...well...even if it is true she's talking about Miami OH, all of the ice skating rinks /here/ are indoors and open all year round...and right now it is a beautiful 103 degrees outside.</p>
