Delayed SAT consequence

I have a question for all the SAT scholars (figuratively). CB has just delayed my countries scores for 5 weeks… Claiming they would “investigate”. I find it rather pointless though, since the only there is no way to find out if someone cheated. Some claim that . Massive increase in score is a tipping point… however, what if someone just studied hard and did well? Doesn’t that ring a bell? Regardless, I find it pointless and wanted to know what exactly they are doing (if anyone knows), because a delay of 5 weeks is just inhumane.

College Board does not need to prove actual cheating to cancel test scores. It can and does cancel if there is reliable information merely to indicate that cheating might have occurred. Do not know your country but CB has had some repeated cheating problems in Asian countries in the last few years because of test takers getting copies of tests before they were given in the country or getting copies of old tests that are not supposed to be available to the public. This has resulted in the last couple of years in at least some test centers in a country having tests canceled even though not all students at the test center were involved in cheating, and in May 2013, it resulted in the entire country of South Korea having its tests cancelled. Here is a Washington Post article (one among many articles) discussing the issue: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/wp/2015/01/21/new-cheating-concerns-raised-about-sat-being-given-in-asia-on-jan-24/

Yeah I know about this… but I’m in Egypt so this isn’t an issue for us. Plus the entire country getting delayed or cancelled because of a few assholes isn’t fair
