Well...there's always restaurants, right?

^ I meant at the dining places in college

like their meal plan places

I worked at an internship hosted in a private school over the summer. The cafeteria food was delicious.
When I visit my sister at Northwestern, sometimes I eat cafeteria food but her hall's cafeteria is closed on the weekends, so not so much. But it's pretty good.
Oh, and Starbucks is part of her meal plan. So half of her meals are from there.

Some of the breakfast stuff at my school is pretty good.
But lunch? No. They always have this noodle thing soaked in gravy for lunch...

haikumarukuchan, what i meant by my response was that it's a no unless you count the restaurants (hence the "well....")

Never ate lunch at school, and I know that college food (from word of mouth) will suck where I'm going.

Best cafeteria food that I've ever had was at Oneida Medical Center in NY.

Yes it does!

Well, it's not really 'cafeteria' food, but it's served at our school.

Chick-fil-a, Papa John's Pizza, Smoothie King, and Starbucks! :p

Yum.

Ours is ok for school lunch I suppose, it has good stuff sometimes. And they bring in pizza from other places on Fridays and thats always nice.

The cheesecake at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is amazing.

Does it Exist?
Yes.
What menu does your school offer?
A medley of Italian foods, a deli, etc.
Your favorite?
A turkey sandwich.
Your hated food?
SALAD.
Do u think the food will get better at college?
Honestly, no. :(

My school has macaroni and cheese day every other Wednesday..thats the only time i'll buy from the cafeteria. All the other days I go to a local deli that sells on campus
yummyness.

These things just depend.

For example, I've heard that the average weight LOST by a Cal student is 10 lbs, because the food is so gross (but the actual town of Berkeley has some great places. Like a crepe joint on every corner.)

But supposedly, UCLA is great. So who knows?

hah, not at public schools-- disgusting- yuck.
College- yes. I hope so-- it will be much better than the c*** we're served. :P

It's alright at my high school, they have one or two decent things like pizza but the rest is a bit questionable. :P
Either way the food is overpriced and the lines are too long so I just pack my lunch.

Hope college food is better but it seems to vary from school to school from what i've heard. Worse case scenario, i'll go to the closest super market and buy enough sandwich meat and bread to last me a month. xD

Halie- my brother went to a basketball camp at UCLA one summer, and he said the food was great.

Yes, 1/2 of my school's food is actually healthy and good.

Pasta and noodles are my fav. We have real cooked spaghetti, alfredo, cheese, etc noodles. And it comes with a salad and bread. Only costs $2-3 dollars.

My high school's food varies widely. The Mac and Cheese is heavenly. The burgers pretty much suck.

Penn State - Pretty bad IMHO, especially breakfast.

Colorado College - Quite good usually.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln - Also quite good, especially the cheesecake and the omelettes.

Ohio State - Okay usually.

UCLA's is pretty good

Burgers, Cheeseburgers, Chicken, spicy chicken with fries and a salad
chinese takeout(orange chicken, sweet&sour, beef, teriyaki)
pizza(veggy/meat)
pastrami sub, subway, cup noodles, chinese chicken salad, caesar salad, lunch kits, grilled cheese, PB n J
water and milk are the drinks, we've used to have slushies and shakes.. but due to Arnold's stupid obesity plan, we don't anymore..
and there's all the other cart foods:
asian cart(too many type of foods to name)
burrito cart(chili cheese, bean&cheese, taco bell, chicken&rice)
pizza(cheese, pepporoni from dominos, pizza hut breadsticks)
chik fila, subway
