What are the advantages and what are the disadvantages???
What does it look like within the rooms? Comfortable??? ^^
What should I know about this dorm???
Any suggestion and advice???
Thanks all of you!!!!!
Please share your experiences here!Thx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^^

Hello again Knight, guess who knows a bit about Dellplain?

CONS
Predominantly an upperclassmen dorm, not too many freshman.
Kinda dark hallways
Last time I went there, the bathrooms were not in the best of shape.
The rooms are nice for the most part but PRAY for good roommates
Right on Frat Row (I put this as both whether you like to party or not)
Does not have its own dining hall

PROS
Right behind Ernie Davis which will have a GREAT 2 floor dining hall
Right on campus
Right on Frat Row
I haven’t really heard any complaints from friends that lived there this year

OVERALL

its a pretty old dorm but you couldn’t really ask to be in such a good location as a freshman

Thx Angelbigbird again!!!
My friend did not do the roommate selection,
so she doesn’t know how is her roommate looks like now~
and she also wants to know more about her dorm in Dellplain, especially for that community and the room inside~
It seems that Dellplain is not the best dorm in SU, but not the worse either.
Am I right?
whatever, Thx a lot!!!

Hi. This is a question to the OP. Is your friend in the Whitman LC? My daughter is, and just wondering if there are other freshmen LC’s in Dellplain. The freshmen that she knows all seem to be in other dorms.
She’s in a regular split double. Any info from anyone out there how the closet space is and is there is at least room for one of those extra sets of drawers somewhere? Any suggestions from anyone about things to bring specifically for this dorm. She does seem to have lucked out with a very nice roommate (at least if you can tell that from emails).
Thanks for any help.

definitely room for drawers!

Can’t help but chime in on the pros.

Pros:

Most spacious split doubles on campus. You will realize that the size of the split doubles are far better than most if not all split doubles on campus. Haven is probably the most comparable.

To Twoparent:
My friend is not in LC. She is in A&S college.
I remember my friend is not in the split double, but the open double.
For the closet space, I also what to know in detail. lol~If anyone have some pictures and can share them with us…
For what to birng to the dorm, I make a list which is based on the collegeboard’s Off-to-College Checklist in the website and the Checklist on the SU orientation Website. I think it could help…

Again, Thx everyone!!!
