<p>Congrats DH, your wild posting of the anti-social dogma in this social forum is starting to get to me. After a week of talking to a girl who is also moving into my dorm, I'm starting to think it will be easier to just focus on my damn work or doing things alone (or at least without a girl). </p>

<p>I haven't thought like this since I was in the ninth grade! It's liberating, really.</p>

<p>The only thing I'm afraid of are the possible negative post-graduation effects... no network or circle of friends for getting hired.</p>

<p>Actually if you talk to some people they seem very vacuous. And when they hang out with all their equally vacuous friends, the pressure drops so low due to the vacuous vacuum that you can't help but being sucked in. But if you can find non-vacuous friends that care for things other than sex, beer, sports, and rock n' roll, you can find a great niche in your college community.</p>
