Demanding

I noticed that on the common app there is a box comparing the demand of your transcript to your peers. Is it possible to be accepted to a tier one (ivies & lessers) school with your counselor checking the "very demanding" courseload? (Instead of "most demanding.")

I've taken 6 APs, one college spanish course, and several honors. It has been rigorous & rewarding in my opinion.

What worries me is that I also have classmates taking 10 APs, etc. (Competitive public high school).

Truthfully, in my early years of high school the competition of college admissions never occurred to me. (As naive as that is). I would go straight to my school counselor and ask her instead of you CC lovelies, but she is on leave until september of next year. :(
Any input?

I doubt that most counselors take “most demanding” literally.

The first tier schools that I looked at don’t publish any sort of statistics on this. It may be the same for most schools.
