Demographics? Help or Hinder?

I go to a very small rural high school (about 70 students per graduating class) and am one of the few students applying to top schools. Most graduates attend universities in the area, and very few leave the state.

Will this help me or hurt me when applying to distant schools? In chance threads I always see people reference to how many students their schools have sent to various colleges... and it's pretty safe to say that my school has sent none to the list of schools that I've applied to (but not because they were rejected, just because they haven't applied.)

I'd appreciate any opinions you might have.

It will help you. If top schools don't get many applicants from your area, you'll definitely have an edge in terms of geographic diversity.

Small rural class = help
What state?

NE Pennsylvania

State won't help, Small rural class would definitely offset to a slight degree limited EC and lower score (if you have them).
