Demographics + Honors Questions

I just had some questions about the Demographics and Honors Program. I've recently been accepted into the Pharmacy and Honors Program at Northeastern University. However, I am aware that Honors Students live in separate dorms than the rest of the class.

Will living in separate dorms impair relationships from Non-Honors students?

What are the racial demographics in the Honors Program (and compared to the rest of the University?)

What are the racial demographics in the Pharmacy Program (and compared to the rest of the University)?

Are dorms segregated by race? I know many universities say do not, but I have seen many dorms at other universities segregated (when I visited my brothers/sisters and friends in college)

Please, I only mean to inquire about the demographics and honors because I am of Caucasian/Asian descent. I honestly don't mind if there's a majority of Caucasians, Asians, African Americans, etc. I'm just curious, so please don't take this the wrong way.

Segregated dorms? You might have seen that as a trend, but doing it as an officially possibly is illegal. So no, northeastern does not do that.

I would say Northeastern is a mainly white school (its new england…) but we’ve got plenty of other groups as well. I haven’t really noticed much difference in honors or pharmd.

And there are plenty of threads about living in honors versus non-honors. The answer everyone will give you is do honors anyway, and you’ll become good friends with honors kids but will still meet plenty of others outside.

Also, “Caucasian” includes “Asian”. People mess it up because they think Caucasian is the proper term for White, but it’s actually not. No offense intended or anything, I just did an essay on it once so I pretty much always point it out to people.

Segregated dorms? Seriously?? We’ve passed the African American Civil Rights Movement era, dude.

I think the Honors Program’s racial demographics would be virtually identical to those of the university as a whole.

…The racial demographics for each program are similar, because the university tries to keep a balance during the admissions process.

Neuchimie, in common use (in American English), “Caucasian” means “White American”, as defined by the census bureau and government of the United States. When put in a racial context, as it was posed by ejohnson2334, the word takes on this accepted racial meaning.

Yeah but American English is wrong, so… US Gov just did that to distinguish groups during racist times. But thanks for quoting Wikipedia.
