Demonstrated Interest

How important do you think it is to visit COC in the admission process? I live in NJ and it might not be easy for me to go and visit. My SATs and GPA are in the top of the middle range so I might have a good chance but I know there is no guarantee. I'm also a girl and I know that's not an advantage. Right now it's not my top choice, but I am still very much interested.

I think its pretty important. By visiting the campus, you are able to get a feel of what it will be like to attend classes there. Sure, you can look at photos and videos of the campus, but it won’t be the same as physically being on campus. You might find that you love the school, but hate the campus, and that could affect your decision as to whether or not you want to attend the school.

There are only so many schools you can practically visit. So if you get in, then you can visit. I don’t think they track visits that closely at all. I think colleges realize that money and time is tight, and it is hard to get to every school on your list.
