Hi,
Just wanted to note my denial came in the mail today. They gave an accompanying letter saying that they got 26,000 applications for 3600 spots. I wasn't expecting to get in because I had heard this, and judging those who were saying did get in, my stats were lower.
I did get into Syracuse with a nice scholarship. So It's all good.

GPA 3.88
SAT 1840
11 Honors classes all A’s
2 AP’s w/A
Earned Varsity letters in 4 sports
Volunteer work, and clubs
What else do they want???
I applied to Nursing program. Out of 26,000 applications I haerd they only send 300 acceptances to end up with a class of 125. Tough competition!
Good luck to all the rest of you!

I have no shot I have 83 UW and M670 CR530 and applied undecided but still have not heard, but it still says unknown error and it should have changed by now.

Seashore…I am rather shocked. Your stats should clearly be good enough to admit to a school like UDel. I think UDel was overloaded, big time, with applications from NJ this year…hence UDel’s need to be selective possibly in applicants from that state. Just a hunch but had you applied from a different state, perhaps a different result. Best of luck wherever you decide to go.

My son just got his denial today
Math 690
CR 580
Writing 560

A couple of AP Classes including Physics and Calculus ( which he has 95 averages in now)
He was on student council 4 years
Football Varsity letter
A few other sports
Volunteered over 400 hrs.
Worked

I just want to say that it is very brave of all of you to post your stats on line. They are all very very good. I know some people who attended U Del years ago, and they can not believe that the school is requiring the kinds of stats that it does now.

Just to make you laugh, one of the people I know who attended is laying down carpet for a living now. In the end, it is about you, not the university you attend. I know that you think differently now. But it is about you, and I am blown away by how great all of you are.

I agree about the overload of applications from NJ. My son has about 300 in his graduating class (in Northern NJ) - about 100 of them applied to UDel.

I just heard from a classmate who also applied to UDel, he applied undecided and his stats not as strong as mine and he was waitlisted. I applied to the nursing program ,which is highly competetive. Good luck!
