<p>Other than the fact they are no longer recalculating the GPA, which is interesting as UF and most other very selective schools do, the above info doesn’t say much and I find it unclear. For example, it mentions both a state and district GPA on the Florida HS transcript yet it doesn’t indicate which one it uses. I do know this, whether they give you the extra points or not - course rigor matters a great deal. All A’s in electives and basic classes is not the same as A’s and B’s in AP and Honors.</p>
<p>There is a trend now in college admissions of using the GPA off of the transcript instead of recalculating. Some of the Florida schools that now use the GPA from the transcript include FSU,FGCU, FAU, New College, and UWF.</p>
<p>I’m surprise that FSU “super scores” the ACT and recalculates the composite score. It’s common to do for the SAT, but not the ACT.</p>
<p>Doubt if it means much.</p>
