Does anyone think i have a chance at Hopkins if i was deferred and then denied from penns nursing and health care management program. My declared major at Hopkins was public health premed.

ummm...stats?

The fact that you were denied from Penn means very little in terms of admissions at other colleges. You could very well get into JHU.

...or you could very well be rejected. It's all about your application.

Ok some stats..
My essays were great. My English teacher said they were the best he had ever read.

My act is very very bad, but I was only able to take it one time. I had to have brain surgery this past summer and I was laid up pretty much the entire first semester of school. I maintained my ap courses on homebound. I have a letter of recommendation from my doctor (the director of pediatrics at Hopkins) saying that I am the most determined hardworking patient he has ever come in contact with in the last 35 years.

Wait, you forgot to actually post your ACT score

lol. first time i have smiled in days
math -28
science 27
reading 28
english writing 22
26 comp
I am dyslexic and that played a factor in the English score. My counselor explained that.

I want to clear something up... if i only put junior year chances are the award was not given out

Your ACT is pretty low for Penn nursing, and your rank is not low, but not top 5% which schools like to Hopkins and Penn like to see. However, I think you have an ok chance at Hopkins, if you plan on doing the undergraduate nursing program. Best of luck.

people w/ 1980 sat scores and 4.0's got in b4 so definetely your high gpa will bring you up =D gl!

i was rejected from penn after being deferred
Sorry my other post made no sense. If I put through junior year (up above) then most likely the award or activity had not occurred yet.
