Hi! I was rejected from UCSC and UC Davis with a 3.48 UC GPA and 26 ACT. EC’s are great and essays are pretty good too. Do I have any chance at UCI, UCSB, UCSD, or even UCB (lol, probably not)? Many people told me that it is yield protection, but I think thats only for applicants with high stats. Can you guys shed some light on this topic and tell me if its yield protection or just rejections? thanks!
I can only quote statistics. You are below the UC GPA 25th percentile for all of these schools and your ACT is at or below the 25th percentile for the majority of the schools. Stats are not everything, but the UC’s are the very important. Did you apply to any Cal States, since they would be your best chances along with UCR and UCM?
