<p>wannabeariceowl, I think you give yourself too little credit. How would you know if you'll get accepted or not? I can understand why you worry, because c'mon, that's natural for any senior these days but I think you should stop deprecating yourself because I bet you are this wonderful candidate that any college should be proud to have. I mean obviously you are dedicated or you wouldn't worry so much. So cheer up! I wish you the best-est of luck! :)</p>
<p>My essay recounted me getting hurt at a visit to Ft. Sumter- from the perspective of a civil war soldier- in it I managed to symbolically speak about my relationship with scouting, my father, and myself. (all explained in a note at the end)</p>
<p>thanks bluedaisy but you dont know my stats...ppl with like 1500 or so didnt even get into rice...lol i dont have a 1500..i dont even have a 1300. i think my essay is good and hopefully i will get in with my essay...

<p>What got me denied.... my crap essays, they had so many grammatical errors.... really really bad</p>
<p>did you get it checked by a teacher? i wanted to get mine checked...i gave them weeks to check mine but they didnt...so i did what i could and turned my essays in ...</p>
<p>wow....i did all the revisions myself..oh gosh! the thing is semp..you are lucky...your stats are still very high and you will get a lot of money and you can still attend great colleges..with me..i have no other choice..i have no money to pay college at all [fafsa, hopefully, will help me big time]...i am trying to help my mom pay off the divorce...i am out of luck...you, on the hand, have it so much better...you need to use...dont be sad...you are great...keep your head up :)</p>

<p>i think i just wrote a good essay though.... i suppose i can post it here. and i received my Eagle Scout last night, so i'll inform Rice of that. we'll see what happens in march, i guess. my friend had a 1510 SAT score and hundreds of volunteer hours at the hospital and she was denied. it's really hard to know what rice is going to like. i'm sorry</p>
