Our S’s portal also shows he was admitted. But no information on potential scholarship, and they explicitly indicate that FA info (we did not apply) is forthcoming. I am contacting Admissions to find out if that is info that is only available in the admissions materials coming via US Mail.
got turned down. they have record high app this year? sigh~ any internationals receive FA ?
Compared to 2013 numbers, they went from ~4500 up to over 6000 applicants. That is a pretty substantial increase. I am sure some of it is due to the Common App and the overall proliferation of applications, but even so, that is a big jump.

D was just admitted. We have not been able to visit. Would any of you who have visited kindly share your impressions of the school? We do have a friend who attended, but that was 20 ish years ago…Many thanks.
4kids4colleges, sure! I visited back in October, when the campus scenery was especially beautiful. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. A lot of my friends complained that Denison was too small of a campus for them, I absolutely don’t agree. Although it is a small school, the campus is more than spacious and very nice. Facilities are extremely nice, new, and clean. The older, more historic buildings are beautiful. The city of Granville is within walking distance, just a short walk down a hill and you’re in the town. The town of Granville is small, but charming. The faculty and professors are very nice and engaging. The students are friendly and smart. For a small LAC in Ohio, Denison feels very much like an East Coast school. Not sure if that’s what you’re looking for. Good luck to your daughter as she makes decisions!

We are trying to arrange another visit next month, as Denison is in our final 2 or 3 choices as we winnow down the list.
I found out I got in! I’m excited. It’s one of my best options if the aid works.
Waitlist. It’s OK though. Even though Denison was academically a great fit (in my opinion), it didn’t fit socially. I have Kzoo, Wooster, and Case Western to choose from and couldn’t be happier about it. Denison is a great school, so congratulations to all of you accepted students! You will accomplish great things. For anyone interested, I am not accepting a spot on the wait list (partially because the link doesn’t work haha.) Once again, congratulations everyone!

D applied to many CTCL schools, most in the South, a few in the Midwest. This summer, we had to choose one big tour, so we did the South. (Though I now realize Denison is not too far from Centre College, one of her top choices). Really hope we get a chance to see Denison (will depend on merit/FA results).
@ColdinMinny, I think our kids applied to many of the same schools. What are your S’s top choices at this point? Where have you received the best merit (if you don’t mind sharing)?

@ColdinMinny I haven’t chosen one yet. I don’t really have a first choice of the 3 because I love them all so much! I think that Case is academically the best for me, Kzoo is politically the best for me, and Wooster is located the best for me. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Wish Denison was in the bunch, but what do you do.
