I'm a little confused about this. Can anyone with a 3.6 or higher be in it or do you apply. Someone told me that you were nominated by the admissions comittiee. Anyone with any information i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

I was wondering about that, too. D got her acceptance letter, with a scholarship offer, but no mention of honors college. She has narrowed her focus to some other schools, so it isn't an issue for her ... but I kind of wondered how it works. I know some schools tell you after you get the admissions letter (Denison sends FA letter later, so maybe honors letter, too?). D is definitely a top candidate, so would think she'd be invited to be in honors. I would like to know, since I am doing a thorough write-up of all D's admissions experiences for some local schools --- hoping to leave a good record of info for future applicants (focusing on positive stuff).

Sorry to say I can't remember! My son got into honors sometime around his admission, but I can't recall when. Maybe email them?

My DD was admitted to Denison last year and did not initially get into the honors program. We were a bit perplexed, especially since she got a 1/2 tuition scholarship and seemed to meet the credentials otherwise, but didn't really worry about it because they told us that anyone could be admitted to the Honors program at anytime after the first semester, as long as their GPA was high enough. She got straight A's her first semester but of course registration for 2nd semester happens before final grades come out. She simply emailed the prof of the Honors seminar she was interested in, gave her the current grades and the name of her advisor, and was allowed to enroll in the course with no hassles. Shortly after the 1st semester grades came out she got the "official" welcome packet to the Honors program. The Honors seminar is now one of her favorite classes and she's thinking of asking that prof to be her new advisor!

anyone hear anything about the honors program yet

Barce, my S received his invitation to the Denison Honors Program in today's mail.

i got honors acceptance today... it was a big packet and got excited thinking it was a notre dame acceptance... lol

I'm guessing then if i haven't gotten one by now i didn't get in seeing as i live in ohio... That's a little strange seeing as i received a founders scholarship and was a finalist for the well's scholarship.

We live in Ohio and DD1 just received hers today. Turns out the school has flopped some numbers on the address so we need to have that corrected.

Got an invitation today. I'm excited. It looks like denison has a lot to offer

I got the invitation this week. I don't know how it compares to other schools but I was pretty impressed with 32 Fulbright Scholars in the last 15 years. Plus all of the other post-grad scholarships.
