Which country would you live in? Safety, good public transportation and schools would be priorities. Speaking some English would be nice too.

I am Swedish and have lived in Sweden. Safety, public transportation, and proportion of the population speaking English were all excellent; the elementary and middle schools I attended there were terrible, but that may be an isolated experience.

I would choose Sweden.

Norway definitely, because Norway is SOO much better than Sweden :)

Finland, only because Sweden has a top-level tax rate at nearly 60% of PI.
(The US' top tax rate is 35%, and Finland's is 29%)

70% tax rate to pay for healthcare for all, yes?

In what way were the schools terrible?

Thanks again.

I'm not sure if this is typical American teen ignorance, but aren't they all very similar? High taxes, lots of fair skin blondes, nice healthcare and schooling, cold/temperate climate, Northern Europe?

In what way were the schools terrible?
Large classes, no discipline, only tangential academics. The pressing issue at my fifth grade PTA meetings was how to make the boys remove their baseball caps in the classroom (they refused when asked). Bullying was rampant; the teachers turned a blind eye or blamed the victim. The girls talked back to the teachers and the boys turned over desks and fought each other in the classroom during breaks. Academics were a farce; when I moved to the United States in seventh grade, I had never written an organized paragraph, let alone an essay. I don't remember any learning taking place. I do remember feeling unwelcome and unsafe. Both schools I attended were considered "good" schools.

I'm sure that's far from universal, but that was my experience.

I would choose sweden too just because the ...okay i really don't know why i'd choose sweden. It has just come up a lot lately so it would be kinda cool. =D pardon my ignorance to important issues such as health care and education.

I wouldn't mind living in any of those countries for a while. I've been to Denmark and liked it there, but Norway is really cool too. It's tough, but if I had to put them in order I would say...

Norway

Denmark

Sweden

Finland

ummmm I would go with Iceland :)

Finland and Sweden

gap

Denmark and Norway

First of all, no offense to Swedish citizens- but Sweden's relatively large Neo-Nazi movement is very troubling.

Personally, Denmark rules all of the above :)

ive heard good things about the denmark

Finland. Because then I could call myself Finnish.

...

Denmark. You can go to lego land.

Jeg elsker Norge!!

Canada also has lego land...

I'd prefer Iceland, but from those mentioned, i'd definitely pick Norway.

Followed by Sweden and then Denmark.

You can go to Lego Land in San Diego.
